1/2 cup chopped onion
1/4 cup olive oil
3 cloves chopped garlic
3 cups chicken broth
1 can white northern beans
1 can red kidney beans
2 cups small macaroni
2 15-oz. cans stewed tomatoes
1 Tblsp chopped parsley
1/2 Tblsp chopped basil
Combine oil and onion in large pan and sauté.
Add garlic to mixture and sauté 2 more minutes.
Then add chicken broth, beans (not drained), macaroni, tomatoes, parsley, basil and pepper.
Stir and cook until macaroni is tender.
*Good with browned ground beef added.
